ROTC Social Life

The social activities around the ROTC unit ranged from the formal military ball to small social gatherings in the day room of the Military Science Department.  Perhaps the most important socialization were the friendships that developed among the cadets as they advanced through the program.  It is hard to describe what a different social experience ROTC was in terms of the 60's on a college campus.  Military traditions were followed which seemed anachronistic to say the least.
