Thursday "Leadership Lab" Drill Day

Each Thursday the Cadet Brigade met on the athletic field opposite the Men's Gym (now Student Activity Center) for a period of military drill, called "Leadership Laboratory" in the Class Schedule. Uniforms were required for drill which made for a unique site on a campus full of anti-war sentiment.  Some cadets after drill immediately changed out of their uniforms, others went to Thursday classes in uniform, and always attracted "attention."
